Las Vegas Houses The World's Largest Bong

NOWTHIS  - MARCH 30, 2018 Link to Video There are some truly crazy cannabis accessories out there. From pipes to glass pieces, people invest so pretty insane amounts of cash for their weed apparatuses. One of the largest and most pricey of these accessories are bongs — they’re flashy, eccentric and definitely make your high intense. But we bet no one has seen a bong this big before. The world’s largest prospective piece is over 22 feet long! Cannabition, Vegas’ Immersive Weed Museum, and Jason Harris of Jerome Baker Designs have come together to build the largest and most expensive bong in the world. The 22-foot monster of a piece will go up for display in Cannabition July 1, 2018. The last...

Weed World

Jerome Baker revolutionized the glass blowing industry in the 90’s and was one of the key figures in the glass piping movement, changing the way smokers around the world enjoy their herb. Today, Baker is aiming to revolutionize the bottled water industry, and maybe save the planet in the process. It all started at a Grateful Dead show in Denver in 1989, when someone passed Jerome Baker (not his real name) a pipe like he had never seen before: it was made of glass, with a pushed-in glass bowl, and it “made the herb taste the best that I had ever tasted.” Not only that, he noticed that as he smoked out of it, it appeared to change colors. Baker was amazed,...

Jerome Baker Comes to Vegas

Justin O'Connell - NOVEMBER 2017 - The most tangible link that Las Vegas has to the history of glass art might be Dave Chihuly's "Fiori di Como". On display in the Bellagio's registration lobby, the opulent glass ceiling piece is the artist's interpretation of Italian flowers in springtime.  The artwork, which some conjecture is worth about $3,000,000, weighs 40,000 pounds. There are more than 2,000 flowers displayed in the glass garden. Art galleries like Chihuly Galler and Domsky Glass also exhibit glass in Vegas. Early next year, Jerome Baker Designs (JBD), the legendary glassworks company, will open Jerome Baker Designs Gallery and Jerome Baker Designs Studio in the Vegas Arts District. Jason Harris, founder and lead artist at JBD, designed...

A Cannabis Industry Icon Accepts BitCoin

Justin Connell - JANUARY 20, 2017 -  Earlier this week, a bill was introduced in Washington state to ban pot shops from accepting bitcoins. Some of the biggest names in cannabis, however, have already dipped their toes into the digital currency market. One of the most storied functional glass makers in the history of glass (he’s done works for the Dalai Lama and Snoop Dogg) accepts bitcoins and offers a steep discount to those who pay in the digital currency. “Jerome Baker himself (Jason Harris) will make you a beautiful hand made glass Bubbler – old school style – for one BITCOIN,” reads the Jerome Baker Designs (JBD) website.
